The sky’s the limit when it comes to Daniela and Fernando, quite literally. The two met shortly after jumping out of a plane at a skydiving drop zone, which eventually led them to start jumping together on the weekends.
Agave Estates may have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey (the pastoral wedding and events enclave in Katy was forced to close its Agave Road venue as a result of the storm), but Nicci and Drew’s lovely wedding demonstrates, beautifully, that this beloved Houston-area wedding location is very much alive, and just a charming as ever. Finding love was simple for Rosa and Chris, who met on the field while they were playing co-ed softball. Chris tells us how it all went down: “She was standing on 2nd base and I was walking towards left center. Rosa asked what my name was, then asked me out on a date and the rest was history.” Let’s hear it for making the first move, gals!!
Rosa got the right mix of vintage and modern, with a refined palette of navy and gold, complementing the stone, wrought-iron and wood accents of Agave Estates. Ditto her personal bridal style, which combined loose, sideswept hair with a figure-contouring Enzoani gown and pretty peep-toe Loubs!
After feasting on slow-roasted pork, and dancing the night away, the couple exited the reception surrounded by love and LOTS of bubbles, making their newlywed getaway in a Rolls-Royce Phantom!

It was friends, food and fate that brought Monica and Chris together, forever. “I had just left an awful couples’ dinner where I was the ONLY single person. After I left the dinner, I went to meet mutual friends at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch a UFC fight,” says Monica. “I was not in the mood to mingle, but Chris offered me his seat and somehow found a way to make me smile (as he always does). The rest was history,” she adds.
It wasn’t long before Chris planned the perfect, intimate proposal for Monica. They went for a couple’s massage, got chocolate truffles form Liebman’s and then took a long walk around Terry Hershey Park. He originally planned to propose to Monica at the park, but in typical Houston fashion, it began to rain. Chris decided to take her back to his house, where they relaxed on the couch with the box of chocolates. “We were talking, but I could tell he was holding something back,” says Monica. “I thought maybe he was turned off by the way I was eating chocolates (lol). He then nervously started to tell me how much I meant to him and popped the question,” recounts Monica.
Monica walked down the aisle in style wearing a full-sleeved lace gown from Houston Bridal Gallery, and danced the night away at the rustic, Spanish wedding venue, Agave Estates . “Our wedding was a dream come true from the ceremony, to our final exit for the night,” says Monica. “My favorite moment was when we recited our vows to each other, and promised to spend forever together in front of our closest family and friends. Everyone came together to celebrate us and it was a night we’ll never forget,” adds Monica. We couldn’t be happier for these two!
