Four years ago, Madison, a nurse practitioner from Seattle, and Emmanuel, a doctor from Ecuador, met at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. After just a few dates, Madison knew she had found her “McDreamy.” A proposal followed on a beautiful evening at a beach in Mexico, with a radiant sunset as the backdrop.

The couple planned for their wedding to be in February 2020, but as you can imagine, for two medical pros working at the largest cancer center in the U.S. during the pandemic, their wedding plans came to a halt. “We made the difficult decision to delay our wedding to not only keep our family and friends safe but also the patients we work with at the cancer center,” Madison says.

When Devin first noticed Rachel, she was already wearing a white dress and veil. At the time, the pair were just 13 years old, but even still, Devin knew he’d marry that girl someday. And that’s exactly what he did! While Devin and Rachel dated for a few months, about a year later, they broke up because of the long-distance. But, in typical millennial fashion, Devin and Rachel connected through social media again in 2017. “One DM on Instagram, and less than a year later, we were engaged!” said Rachel.

The proposal was nothing short of magical. The couple was on a trip to the US Virgin Islands when Devin had Rachel follow a fun scavenger hunt, hop on a boat, and venture to a private island. With the whole beach to themselves, Devin popped the question, and Rachel happily said yes! With such a thoughtful, intimate engagement, it only fits that their wedding was the same.

Bryan Roth moved from Chicago to Houston for his ophthalmology residency at Baylor in 2015. A couple of months later, he swiped right on Houston native Leslie Goldberg’s profile on the Jewish dating app JSwipe, and their love story began. The couple’s life of togetherness, traveling, caring for their puppy and hiking, started from their first date over sushi and drinks. After four years together and a move to Ohio, Leslie was happily awaiting Bryan’s marriage proposal while Bryan made big plans to make it happen. The pandemic, however, threw a wrench in his plans forcing him to adapt.

Greg was smitten when Meredith first messaged him on the dating app, Bumble, and said, “Hi LG!” since only his family called him by that nickname. Fast forward in time, Greg surprised Meredith with a weekend trip to his hometown in San Antonio, TX. It was in his hometown that Greg chose to propose to Meredith on the balcony of the historic Hotel Emma. Unfortunately, just a few months after their engagement, Meredith’s mother was diagnosed with cancer. Unable to make it to the wedding, Meredith and Greg found meaningful ways to honor her.

For their fall wedding, the couple chose to wed at the timeless and elegant Briscoe Manor. Meredith’s father officiated the wedding ceremony in the Briscoe Chapel, accompanied by 275 of their closest loved ones. They exchanged their vows in front of a stunning gold arch draped with florals and greenery. The bride described her wedding as “classic with a hint of modern” and thoughtfully included both wine and blush throughout the ceremony and reception. Even the deer mounts hanging on the bar walls had a wine and blush floral touch! Garden floral arrangements beautifully decorated the tables along with silver dollar eucalyptus hanging from the chandeliers and fireplace. Behind the Bash kept fall in mind, serving up a decadent fall salad with fresh spinach leaves, complete with a carving station offering both herb-crusted beef sirloin and pork loin stuffed with jalapeno cheddar cornbread.  Later that evening, white glow sticks and flower crowns were a hit on the dance floor! One of their favorite memories of the wedding was the fabulous firework display before riding off in a pearl-colored Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II from Monarch British Limousines.
