Niloofar and Elyad’s journey began in 2017, orchestrated by the hands of fate through mutual friends. What started as a casual acquaintance swiftly blossomed into a deep and meaningful friendship. Their first date, set in the cozy ambiance of a Midtown cafe, laid the foundation for the enduring bond. Before their whimsical wedding at The Peach Orchard, it all started in 2016 when Lesly was offered a position at Abercrombie which she turned down due to the long commute. Laziz ironically accepted it while she started work at another location. A year later, their districts combined, and Laziz was asked to fill in for Lesly while she was on vacation. “I needed someone to fill in for me while I was out for two weeks – and out of many, it was [Laziz] who was chosen. [He] should have been gone the day I was back, but they asked [him] to stay one more day…and that’s all it took. Timing is everything & it’s always been [Laziz].” Lesly says.

Before Matthew and Lauren had their blush and burgundy wedding, their love story began in the fall of 2016.

On a Sunday morning in 2016, Matthew texted his college best friend, Ford, that he met the most beautiful girl. Ford instantly recognized Matthew’s love interest as his girlfriend’s sorority sister and quickly organized a get-together for the friends. Lauren and Matt talked for hours, discussing everything under the sun and quickly realizing how much they had in common. Lauren fell in love with Matthew’s honesty and ability to make her laugh, while Matthew loved Lauren’s zeal for life and ambition.

Classic Monochromatic Wedding Nestled in Downtown Houston

Seth proposed to Marla four years after they first met at Houston’s Day for Night music festival. The proposal happened during their annual tradition of seeing the iconic River Oaks Christmas Lights. Seth revealed a stunning center-cut diamond ring from Zadok Jewelers and asked the big question. Shortly after, the planning for their wedding was underway, only to be halted by the pandemic.

“Extending a nine-month engagement to a seventeen-month engagement presented many obstacles. However, navigating through them together helped us as a couple to grow even more,” says Marla. Their vision for the ceremony and reception was minimalistic and chic. Therefore, the couple went for a classic monochromatic color palette of black, white and gray.
