Erin is a physical education teacher. Peter is a petroleum engineer. How did these two “PE’s” pair up? “We met at [’80s cover band] The Molly Ringwalds’ concert in 2011. We didn’t know each other, but eventually our groups of friends bumped into each other. We started talking, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history,” recounts Erin. Four years later they traveled to Vietnam, where Peter got down on one knee on the beach with a gorgeous sunset as their backdrop. “It was beautiful,” says Erin. “After he proposed, we had a romantic dinner on the beach.” Sigh. The romance didn’t stop there—their garden-themed wedding was full of lush greenery, blooming flowers and candlelight, all of which set an incredible romantic tone. Blue & Gold Wedding by MD Turner Photography

One summer Haley decided to sign up for the annual Beta Fraternity River Trip with some girlfriends. The girls were ready for some New Braunfels relaxation and arrived to get on the bus. However, as it always seems with boys’ “careful” planning, there were not enough seats for everyone. Cue Daniel. In true southern gentleman-like fashion, he offered his seat to Haley. He may or may not have had some motive behind this gesture, but it sure paid off. Haley admits she was pretty impressed and started up a conversation with Daniel…a conversation that would continue for the rest of their lives. The two quickly established a favorite date-night spot, George’s Pastaria here in Houston…but little did Haley know that the spot would become even more special on February 15^th, 2014. The two were talking and laughing all the way until closing time. Realizing that they were the only two left in the entire restaurant, Haley told Daniel they really should go…but he insisted they stay. Surrounded by nothing but the slowly burning table candles, Daniel got down on one knee. Unable to hold back the happiest of tears, Haley said, “YES!” Now we may or may not be shedding some happy tears, too (we totally are). Haley and Daniel were beyond excited to send out their classic cream and gold invites from Bering’s to all of their friends and loved ones to celebrate this incredible day! The wedding was just a vision—the couple’s chosen colors of Wedgewood blue and shimmering gold were the perfect statement. Fall 2016 I Do! Wedding Soiree at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

WOW, what a show! Our Fall I Do! Wedding Soiree at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston was one for the record books. We would like to thank our adorable couples and stylish guests for attending Houston’s only luxury wedding event of the season, and we want to thank our incredibly talented vendors for putting on an incredible show!

Pianist and composer Scott Graham started the night by serenading us with well-loved melodies, and Lewis Grell of LG Entertainment kept the party going strong with his killer beats and suave MC skills. Danny Ray and The Acoustic Production also showcased their renowned musical offerings…and a super cool display of musical instruments!

We mean it when we say there’s something for everyone at the I Do! Soiree. Couples in search of a beautiful destination wedding and honeymoon locale fell in love with O Weddings by Oasis Hotels & Resorts, and those seeking must-have items to add to their registry were wowed by Bering’s fabulous collection.

Royal Blue, Green, Purple & Silver Wedding by Adam Nyholt Photographer

Not all love stories start off with instant attraction. Just ask Callie, who did not hit it off with Eric when they first met at McGrady’s Pub in Charlottesville, Virginia during the Georgia vs. Florida game. Since they were rooting for opposing teams, Callie was, naturally, NOT a fan of Eric. “I would visit Charlottesville occasionally and he would always come over and ask if I wanted to get a drink with him. I refused,” Eric’s future bride says. Although she consistently turned him down, Eric was determined to get her to go out with him. He eventually reached out through Facebook, which turned into phone calls, FaceTime chats and finally the first date. Which turned into the second date. Then the third, fourth…twenty-seventh, etc. Until that magical day when Callie walked down the aisle in a gorgeous lace Anna Maier gown from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon, accessorized with her mom’s veil, sister’s bridal sash and grandmother’s rosary in her bouquet. “Our wedding was exactly what we wanted,” recounts Callie. “It was such a wonderful feeling to look at each other, know that we were married and surrounded by so many people who love us.” It’s true. Persistence always pays off, right Eric? We couldn’t be happier for the couple, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness. Thanks Adam Nyholt for the lovely photos!
