Houston wedding and elopement photographer, Emily Figurelli, aims to bring life, movement and romance into every photo —and that’s exactly what she accomplishes in this gorgeous vintage chic wedding styled shoot!
Paul caught Gillian’s eye from across the table during a mutual friend’s bon voyage party back in 2010. Unfortunately the pair didn’t exchange numbers that night, and Gillian went back to San Francisco for school. A few months later while she was home for Christmas break and hoping to find a date for New Year’s Eve. “During happy hour I mentioned my to my friend that she should have Paul get in touch with me. Three minutes later my phone rang, and it was Paul,” recounts Gillian. They immediately hit it off, and tied the knot six years later. Gillian walked down the aisle in style wearing a tea-length eyelet Oscar de la Renta dress from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon, and paired it with pink Manolo Blahnik pumps (major Carrie Bradshaw moment). “It was a playful dress that fit like a dream. When I saw it on the runway, I knew this was it,” adds Gillian. Paul and Gillian danced the night away with their family and friends, and made a true Texan move by stopping at Whataburger before attending the after party. Sounds like one fun night, right? Kelly and Tom met at work, just across the hall from each other. So let’s set the picture here: These two peeking across the hallway—anxious to see one another, butterflies fluttering. After many group outings, Tom finally asked Kelly out officially. Kelly remembers their first date like it was yesterday; laughing, talking, and Tom’s incredibly fun personality. You know how they say that travel is the true test of compatibility? Well, these two passed that test with flying colors! Of all the traveling they did, Kelly was most excited to experience Brazil, where Tom spent his childhood. And Tom couldn’t wait to share her with his home—especially with the family and friends he hadn’t seen in over 10 years! Little did Kelly know that Tom had asked Kelly’s family for her hand in marriage prior to the couple’s South American sojourn. And what a proposal it was! In the beautiful white-sand beach town of Buzios, Tom proposed to Kelly…on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The couple recalls, “We followed a few days later with a lot of celebrating with friends that now mean so much to us both!” Their wedding was a vision of sophistication and charm with hues of French blue, sage green, lavender and champagne—all alluding to a picturesque French Country setting. We have no doubt that Tom shed a tear or two when he saw Kelly walk down the aisle in her stunning Rivini Gown from Mia Bridal Couture. The couple’s guests were just as in love with the wedding as Kelly and Tom are with each other. Kelly recounts that guests commented that the celebration was “more like a movie or a dream, so intimate and gorgeous.” Susie’s Cakes & Confections offered up a perfect rendition of a French-inspired wedding cake, with four tiers of decadent vanilla and raspberry sweetness that could seriously make you feel like you were in Paris. “Estevan and I met in February of 2013 at our mutual friends’ game night where we were the only two single people,” recounts bride Rachel. “They swear it was a coincidence.” Were pretty sure it wasn’t. For their spring wedding, the couple selected a fresh, seasonal palette of in and soft pinks,k and filled their rustic-elegant venue with touches of burlap, mercury glass and vintage furniture including rough-hewn farm tables, refurbished doors and wine barrels. Describing her favorite wedding moments, Rachel recounts sipping margaritas made with her father-in-law’s secret recipe and partying to a lively mix of country, pop and Tejano music. But most of all, she cherishes the memory of her father-daughter dance to The Temptations’ “My Girl.” “My dad sang this song to me while he taught me to swim in our backyard. It is my first memory, and a precious reminder of our relationship.”

Vintage candleabras, lanterns, lace overlays, vintage vases, and a soft color palette of blush, mint, cream and lush greens are what defined Anna and George’s dreamy, vintage wedding.
