For their once-in-a-lifetime celebration, UT alums Rachel and Kurt chose The Bell Tower on 34th St., and it’s easy to see why. With its gorgeous grounds, vine-covered walls, hidden archways and spectacular interior, the beloved Bell Tower was the perfect place to gather 240 guests for an evening of dining, dancing and pure, exuberant joy. The bride enchanted everyone in her gorgeous Watters gown from fabulous Mia Bridal Couture–which, we might add, photographer Steve Lee Weddings captured magnificently against a series of Bell Tower backgrounds. Notes Rachel: “Kurt and I truly feel that our perfect evening lasted forever as we got to soak up every moment of happiness and fun of the party.” As for us? We note that this wedding was one of our favorites of the year! Best of luck, and much love, to the newlyweds. Who says cheap wings and 99-cent margaritas can’t possibly lead to true love? Neither Iris nor James, that’s for sure. The lovebirds, who met randomly at a Pasadena, Texas, Western bar, “hung out all night that night, and have been hanging ever since,” Iris says. In 2012, James surprised Iris at her “Ugly Christmas Sweater” graduation party, bearing a piñata filled with faux diamonds and ring pops. “I finally got to take my blindfold off, and James went down on his knee and proposed to me in front of everyone,” Iris recalls. “And, of course, tears, happiness and Facebook posts ensued.” The couple’s vintage-elegant wedding, with its shades of coral, ivory and gray, and its touches of burlap and lace, was the perfect expression of their tastes, and their love. Iris says she’ll never forget “running through the corridor of ribbon wands during our final send-off.”

From its serene gold-accented palette, to its seasonal menu of roasted corn chowder and beef tenderloin with wild-mushroom-and-onion risotto, to its crystal chandeliers and soft candlelight, Hayley and Jeffrey’s fall wedding is pretty much a perfect example of how to do fall elegance fabulously. The couple, who met on a blind date (!!)—which led to a second date the very next day—wanted their marriage celebration to be not just full of love, but utterly timeless. We think they did both, beautifully. And we’ve got the gorgeous photos by super-talented Houston photographer Sarah Ainsworth to prove it. Congratulations, Hayley & Jeffrey!
